Human Robot Interaction

With robots exhibiting a stronger presence in crucial domains including military, search and rescue, medical care, surveillance, industry operations and entertainment, there is now a potential need for exploring the Human Robot Interaction (HRI) domain which plays a critical role between the humans and the robots. This project aims to develop Human Robot Interaction technologies for naturalistic and effective multimodal interactions between humans and the robot in applications ranging from edutainment to service. This project also performs multilayered usability analysis and evaluations to optimize the Human Robot Interaction technologies to create a change in perception of robot as a tool to quasi member in human family.
